I spent my morning in prayer and reflection. I realize that there are days when you are surround by thousands of people yet you are surviving on your own. We allow our head to clog with the struggles of day to day life....
Sometimes, we just need to have a little talk with Jesus!
He is our safe haven! The one we can bare our soul to and yet He will still hold you close with a comforting presence and be your best friend.
Sometimes, we have to learn the hard way that we can't always share our feelings, vent, have a different opinion, be transparent, or just talk freely with anyone but Jesus!
The carnal flesh of people causes them to judge you, or come down on you when you have a bad day and need to talk/vent.
Having a bad day doesn't make you a bad person.
I also heard a preacher say:
"Just because we have a different opinion or don't agree doesn't mean I hate you."
Be careful how you react to someone that you don't agree with! Your actions could hurt them without you realizing it!
We are all imperfect people!
You don't have to make someone feel like a low down reject with your body language alone just because you think they're wrong!
My Bishop has told our church countless times;
It's not our place to make anyone feel worthless, dumb, under educated or like a rank sinner. Sometimes, all anyone needs is to be heard and understood. Instead of feeling that their way of thinking is crazy, misguided and just completely wrong.
Maybe, that bad day can be turned around by just 1 conversation?
I know we should have a safe place of freedom to air our differences as humans but I've found no matter how safe you think you are to "talk".....
prayer is the place to go.
God's love surpasses that of any human and you will always find safety in talking to Him. The reason Gods love is never ending is because He's the one that died for you! When you're trying desperately to purge your mind, body and soul through prayer and fasting; everyone around you can not be sympathetic to your cause because they aren't experiencing your pain but God already has.
In your darkest, loneliest hour know that He is with you. It's sometimes difficult to take comfort in that but I assure you it's true. Serving God can be a lonely path and it's not always easy but it's much better than the alternative. Today, I drank my coffee and saw:
"Love endures all things"
I needed that reassurance today. I needed to know that God is here with me. We are all human and flawed by flesh but Gods love knows no bounds!
I am thankful and grateful that I can turn to Him when I'm tired, lonely and have no where else to go!
I believe that He is always here! I know that he hears my cry! I always remember that just a little talk with Jesus makes it right!
