There is a scrIpture that we quote every service at Faith Tabernacle,
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again."(Luke 6:38)
We've had countless testimonies of Gods blessings as our church has continued giving even when they didn't have it. There is a basic understanding that if we give no matter if it's through our finances, time, talent etc that God will bless your efforts.
I read the entire chapter of Luke 6 today and I realized we sacrifice so many blessings because of our behavior or how we choose to manage our time.
"But love your enemies, and do them good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful. And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released." (Luke 6:35-37)
When we sacrifice Bible reading- We sacrifice a blessing!
When we sacrifice Prayer time- We sacrifice a blessing!
When we sacrifice our attitude- We sacrifice a blessing!
When we sacrifice love- We sacrifice a blessing!
When we sacrifice giving our time or talent to God- We sacrifice a blessing!
You see where I'm going! I have been challenged to give more of myself to God! I am no good to those I lead, teach & help if I am not first building my relationship with God.
Be blessed by applying the word of God to your life. Be challenged to do more and be better. Be encouraged that no matter your circumstance if you seek Gods will, He will bless you!
